FRUIT ROTS are another type of rot associated with fungi. Often these rots start off as "dry" rots. After the fungus invades however, other microorganisms (particularly bacteria) follow, and it is these "secondary" microorganisms that lead to the soft, slimy, disgusting symptoms that people typically associate with rots.
